Registration Assistant

DSU is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our Registrar’s Office. As a Registration Assistant, the successful candidate will play a vital role in the efficient operation of the office. Excellent attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to student inquiries regarding registration, transfer credits, and enrollment status promptly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
- Verify student enrollment status by reviewing and updating student records in the student information system.
- Process student information accurately and efficiently in the student information system, including registration, course changes, withdrawals, and other related activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and adhere to all relevant data protection regulations.
- Stay updated on college policies and procedures related to registration, enrollment, and transfer credits to provide accurate information to students and staff.
- Fulfilling transcript requests and payments.
- Interpreting student intent to ensure service quality and accuracy.
- Generating correspondence to a variety of stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with students, faculty, and staff.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of student record management.
- Proficient in web-based technology and Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions.
