Dakota State University is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Multimedia Support Services Technician to join our team. This role is essential in supporting live streaming and event technology across campus, providing Tier 1 technical support, and maintaining classroom and meeting space technology. Key Responsibilities:
- Live Streaming & Event Technology Support
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot live streaming equipment for campus events.
- Provide technical support for audio/visual systems including projectors, sound systems, and recording devices.
- Train and supervise student employees assisting with event technology.
- Tier 1 Technical Support
- Provide first-level support for software and hardware issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported problems; escalate complex issues to Tier 3 support.
- Assist with computer setup, imaging, and deployment across campus.
- Create and maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Contribute to the development of efficient workflows and support processes.
- Campus Technology Maintenance
- Support classroom, meeting room, and lab technology including installation and maintenance.
- Assist with preparing and maintaining campus computer labs.
- Provide support for security cameras and other campus-wide technology systems.
Qualifications:
- Experience with live streaming platforms and AV equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and customer service skills.
- Ability to train and mentor student employees.
- Familiarity with classroom technology systems and basic networking concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
